This year it will be conducted on the 1st August, 2010.
Sayadaw has introduced a brief history about Vaso Thinghan...
Verse 403
“Those who have renounced the use of force in relationship to other beings whether weak or strong, who neither kill nor cause to be killed, can be called great beings.”
"For the sake of advantage of someone
Sacrifice of someone is done
According to the universal norm
Though glory of Your Majesty
Is as glamorous as the Sun and the Moon
Surrounded by the Honourable Knights and wise ministers
Enjoyment in the luxurious palace chamber
That will be temporarily
Like bubbles in the sea
Arising and blowing away continuously.
Though Your Majesty spares my life and sets me free
Your kindly pardon will not be immune my vitality
To be immortality
As my flesh and blood are mortalities.
I owe my life, My Lord!
I will be forgiven and forgotten forever
In the course of Samsara,
I shall be gone forever
I will never consider for vengeance
As I know my flesh and blood are impermanent"
